Mod and Odd

What won't we do for good ceramics?

My partner and I climbed down the steepest (no hand rail!) stairs I've ever seen into a junk shop deep-down-under a church in the middle of nowhere in France.  Among the standard junk shop detritus, a young man was selling off the possessions of an acquisitive and (we thought) very avant garde uncle.  The vase we bought and carried around like a fresh egg across three countries has a freckled skin, three necks and a "Siamese triplets" body. I see some sort of mystical union in it -- and not just because we found it under a church.

We've never consummated the union with a flower. Maybe this year?
