Paste San Francisco

Look what happens when you clean your closets
The other day at the New York Gift Show, I was walking down an aisle wondering where the clever and beautiful things were hiding...and I ran across my old friend Denise Fiedler. We did a little business when I lived in San Francisco and worked at Gump's -- and she was always a a ray of creativity and friendliness. Everything she made was witty and fresh and made of printed silk.
She's moved on to a new company called Paste (www.pastesf.com) thanks to a thorough closet cleaning which revealed a trove of old flashcards and books that she's not sure she even knew she had. They have become delightful collages of pets and fashion accessories and flower arrangements. I am in love with them: so unpretentious and fun.
Great to see you again, Denise!
