A Process

Working to make a finished piece
As you can see the techniques in making a stained glass panel are very labor intensive. It is very important to keep focused on the original concept, but at the same time okay to adjust the design while you are working on it.

Since I am working full time on my glass, a panel like “The Horse Seeking Revenge on the Stag” will be done in 3 weeks. My last career was art directing at People, GQ, and Good Housekeeping magazines. I would work on my glass before and after work, and on weekends. With this schedule completing a panel took three times as long as it does now. I would forget my original vision and loose track of the precise stage I was at.

In January 2009 I started to work full time on my glass now have time for new designs and commissions.
Including a project for New York City Arts for Transit. My permanent faceted glass panel can be seen at the Philipse Manor Train Station in Westchester New York.
