Significant teacups

The last cups?

Jack Rosenberg made these tea cups. I don't know anything about him, but his lustre glazes intrigue me. Their shifting colors and shadowy reflections open tiny windows into other universes where everyday objects shine coppery-pink from their water-slick green onyx shelves.  Do you think I am reading too much into tea cups?  I don't: when we use them, we feel a shiver of something beautiful and strange, an otherworldly glow, a step away from the every day and the mundane. It's this rather than the tea that quenches our thirst.
Someone told me that Jack sold off his equipment a while back and I am sad to think that no more of his cups will come our way.
