Hand-knitted creatures from Golfini della Nonna

My little daughter received an alpaca giraffe, obviously made by hand, obviously made with tenderness and care. I noticed it was made in Bolivia, but I never made the time to learn about how and why and by whom.
A little gift from the gift show was my encounter with Maria Pia Basilico, the mother of founder Francesca Basilico.  We spoke a little Italian, and I learned some more about Golfini della Nonna. Visit www.golfini.com and learn more yourself.
Meanwhile: if you have little kids, search out these soft, squishy creatures.  The Floral and Striped Bears are my favorites. But you can get a Sloth, a Walrus, a Platypus, a Lobster, and many many many other creatures.
